An eBook is a Great Tool if you Work At Home
Anyone who has taken the steps to work at home deserves all of the accolades that I can give them. I can tell you first hand that it is a great thing to be able to do, but has not always been easy. One consensus which I hear among people who work at home is the fact that they would not be able to do so if it were not for the Internet. However, while most of these people recognize the value of the Internet, they fail to recognize some of the tools which have also been made possible by the Internet, which of course is a tool itself. One such tool which we will focus on for purposes of this article is are eBooks.
Home businesses all around the world are expanding with eBooks. Basically, an eBook is a paperless book in digital format that you can download to your computer, handheld or other reader device. It can be read by using a software program like Adobe (for .pdf formats) or Microsoft Word.
I will outline the relevance which eBooks hold to those of your who work at home in the paragraphs below.
i) Marketing
An eBook provides you with an inexpensive means of producing full-color marketing materials complete with graphics, and accompanying audio. You can easily create an eBook of your own by using software, or hiring someone. Just take your digital camera and start snapping shots of your products, people using your products and services, your workers, your family pretending to be consumers and/or workers, etc. You get the idea. Now you are ready to show off your shots along with your products, and describe your services with breath-taking power-packed presentations.
ii) Education
When your products or services need explained, educate your prospective and existing clients with ebooks. Have sample or short versions available for trial offers or free downloads. Then include full-fledged detailed editions with product / service purchases. Educate with visual, sound and interactive point-and-click methods. Invite questions and feedback from recipients for improvements on future product and service development.
iii) Communications
An eBook is extremely helpful if you find that you are being bombarded with the same questions again and again. Perhaps the answer to such question is very lengthy. If you find that this is happening to your, you can easily compose an eBook which contains detailed explanation for the most frequently asked questions. If you do this, take the opportunity to include your own marketing information inside so that readers can look you up on the Internet, pass your information along and give others the opportunity to find you, too.
iv) Building Your List
Offer a free download of your eBook on your website. Require that the individual submit their e-mail and confirm it before receiving the download. This is a great way to build your marketing list. This is very relevant to the work at home entrepreneur.
This list is by no means exhaustive, but I think you are beginning to get the idea. An eBook is a valuable tool for those of us who work at home.
