Make Money Online One Step At A Time

From time to time I visit forums whose members aspire to make money online. Unfortunately, I always read the same old stories of someone who is ready to give up on their online business. However what shocks me is how quickly people are willing to call it quits. Often times if these people do not make money in the first month, they are ready to give up.

This sort of short-term mentality is grounded in the unrealistic expectations which many people who venture to make money online share. I have to say that after reading so many negative comments, there is no wonder why 97% of online businesses fail. People expect to make tens of thousands of dollars within their first thirty days of starting a business. Let us just say that if it were that easy, everyone would be doing it, and no one would go to college.

The short-sightedness which I witnessed on the forum will almost always, if not always, lead to failure. Conversely, being successful at anything usually requires that we take one step at a time. Sometimes the step will be parallel to our goal, and sometimes we will need to take a step back. To do this you must have vision, remain patient, and be prepared to work hard. If you are willing do this, your chances to make money online are very good.

Most visions of success really do need a number of steps to be taken, due to the fact that success cannot be achieved in one giant leap. A good example is with a professional qualification such as law. I did not just decide that I wanted to be a lawyer one day, go down to the be a lawyer store, and become a lawyer. Rather, there were several series of steps:

1. I had to get into college.

2. I had complete the necessary coursework to be awarded a degree while maintaining high grades.

3. I had to take the Law School Admission Test (LSAT), and score high enough to be accepted to law school.

4. I had to pay a boatload of tuition over a three year period, not to mention completing all of my course work.

5. I had to take and pass the bar exam.

Essentially, once a stage was passed successfully, it was like starting all over again with another series of steps, each getting progressively more difficult. Regardless, there was no avoiding the necessary steps.

This same fact holds true of most ambitions, including any ambition to make money online. If success is really worthwhile in something, it is unlikely to be easy and simple. So it is best to bear that in mind when focusing on your goal.

Once you have a vision of your goal, you need to recognize all  of the steps which must be taken to accomplish your goal. I actually encourage your to continually visualize your your success. Visualization keeps you motivated and on task.

Keep in mind that you do need to give appropriate attention to each of the essential steps. For instance, in law school I took an Administrative Law class which was absolutely boring. However, taking this class was one of the steps in receiving my Juris Doctorate degree, so I got through that step.

Most worthwhile goals have similar essential steps, each of which you need to recognize, and then devise a plan to address each step with the requisite effort, knowledge, skills and practice you may need. Having formed your plan for each step, you can then set about them methodically, paving your path to make money online, one step at a time.

If you write down your goal, and then the individual, essential steps, you will have the great satisfaction of ticking off each step, and then stand back and see you have reached your vision. Your goal will be achieved.

Zero Cost. Zero Obligation.
