You Need To Brush Off Failure To Make Money Online

In Napoleon Hill's best seller, "Think and Grow Rich", he tells a true story of a man named R.U. Darby and his uncle who were hit by the "gold fever" during the gold rush of the mid-1800's. The reason why I am recounting this story in an article written for people who want to make money online will be apparent shortly, so make sure that you keep reading.

 

Back in the days of the gold rush, you would dig for ore because ore would contain gold. So, after having their first car of ore shipped to a smelter, Darby and his uncle discovered they had hit one of the richest bodies of gold in Colorado.  Excitedly, they continued digging, but unfortunately for them, they were no longer able to find the vein of gold in the ore.

 

Nonetheless, the two kept digging in the hopes of once again finding the vein, but had no luck. Since they were unable to find the results they were hoping for, they ceased their expedition, and sold off their machinery to a man who knew enough to realize that random digging was not the best way to find the vein. As a result, he contacted a mining engineer, and had him make some calculations.

 

Of course Darby and his uncle could have done this, had either of them had minimal knowledge of the fault lines, and the alternative that they were simply digging in the wrong place. Nonetheless, with the engineer's professional assessment, he was able to estimate that the vein of gold would be found a mere three feet from where Darby and his uncle gave up on digging, and subsequently sold their equipment.

 

His calculations were spot on. As a result, the man who purchased the equipment from Darby and his uncle pulled millions of dollars worth of gold from the mine which looked to be fruitless, or in this case, gold-less.

 

 

 

The lesson here is that success is often just beyond what seems to be your greatest obstacle.  Welcome failure and use it as a measuring stick.  If you set out to make money online and fail, when you are defeated, look for the lesson.  What do you need to change in your approach, your mindset, your environment, so that you do not make the same mistake twice?

The only limits to your ability to make money online, are those you create in your mind.  Defeat is merely a byproduct of your own self-doubt.  Measure the result, change your approach, and continue in your efforts. You will hit the gold vein sooner than you think possible.
