Does this sound like you? You have just put in a lot of work to get your website up and running. You are now ready to make money online. However, there is one major problem. No one knows about your website. How do we fix this problem? Follow these three methods, and before long the people will be finding your website through the search engines.

1. Articles Are A Must

Write articles which are on topic with the theme of your website, and place these articles on your website via a blog or article directory. Even if you are not the best writer in the world, this is something that you are very competent to do. You do not have to worry about being perfect. Just write about what you are familiar with. (ie. your business niche).

Keep your article shorter than longer. I would recommend between three-hundred and six-hundred words. Also, make sure that the information which you are giving is generally valuable to your niche. Do not make an attempt to sell whatever it is that your business is offering. The best way to make money online is through your actual website.

We are simply trying to attract attention for our websites at this point. Keep in mind that the goal of your articles is simply to get valuable links to your website, not to make a sale.

2. Include a Link To Your Website At The End Of Your

Once you have created an informative article, relevant to your niche, why not take credit for it? Place the link to your website at the bottom of the article. Often times people like to add a resource box prior to adding their link to give a little information about themselves. I have no problem with this. However, you need to keep it short, and get to the point quickly. Keep in mind that the reader has already taken the time to read your article, so at this point, their attention is waning.

When including a link in your resource box, make sure that one of your links includes the main keywords of your home page. Keywords are the phrase or words a visitor will type in to find your website. Make the keyword the clickable portion of the link instead of your web address. This will signal to the search engines that your website is relevant for that keyword.

3. Submit Your Article to the Major Article Directories

Once you have composed your articles, submit them to the major article directories. This will enable you to get your articles distributed on as many websites as possible. Some major article directories include EzineArticles, ArticleCity, ZapContent, and Isnare. Some services like Isnare will even distribute your article for you for a fee.

There you have it. Take and repeat these three steps if you want to make money online. Thereafter, the search engines will find, crawl, then list your website in their results.
