Procrastination Will Kill Your Dream To Make Money Online

Do you dream to make money online? A dream of a better life, more money, healthy loving relationships, greater freedom, and reaching all those long cherished goals? If you are still dreaming, and not living these things, ask yourself why you have not yet achieved them. I am sure that you can come up with in excess of half a dozen excuses. However, if most people are honest with themselves, there is only one reason why they find themselves making the same New Year's resolution each December/January.

 

One of the biggest problems for people is procrastination. Procrastination is nothing more than a failure to act on your desires. It also is the main reason why people fail to move forward in life.

 

The simple truth is everyone procrastinates. Even successful people. However, the difference between really successful people, people who achieve average success, and people who remain stagnant, is their level of action.

The truth is that even those who remain stagnant know what they need to do to move forward. Furthermore, they almost always have the ability and means to take the necessary action. However, where these individuals fail, is by not taking action at all. For instance, the person who wants to make money online so that they can live their dreams may own a computer with 8GB of RAM and a 640GB Hard Drive, along with T1 connectivity to the Internet. Thus, this individual has the means to make money online. Unfortunately, where they may fail, is by not taking action.  This is usually not just a simple case of laziness. Many times there are deep rooted feelings of fear, insecurity and emotional blocks. They make excuses as to why they should not bother, or why they deserve to sit in front of the television and watch Seinfeld reruns for the fifth time after a hard day at work.

 

 

You can attend every self-help and motivational speaker seminar on the planet. You can also purchase and listen to seminars, books, and DVDs from the absolute gurus on personal development, and self-improvement. However, if you do not take action and apply what you have learned, it is completely useless, and an utter waste of time and money. There is simply no substitute for taking action. Even if your action is the wrong action.

 

 

Persistence is one of the key elements of success. Are you aware that Thomas Edison failed 9,999 times until on his 10,000th attempt, he created the electric light bulb? When asked about this his reply was simple but profound, “I didn’t fail 9,999 times, I just found 9,999 ways that didn’t work!”

 

 

Furthermore, actor Danny DeVito went on over 100 auditions before finally getting his first role. At 4' 10", Hollywood producers just did not think that DeVito was cut out for acting. Now, we cannot envision anyone else having played the role of Louie De Palma on the t.v. show "Taxi". Danny DeVito is also awesome as Frank Reynolds in, "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia", which is probably THE funniest show on television today.

 

 

Although from different eras and different schools of study, both Edison and DeVito had one major thing in common. That thing was persistence. They were not afraid to try and fail. At least if they were, they never acted on such fears. Both Thomas Edison and Danny DeVito knew that there is no such thing as failure if you never give up. When it looks like your approach did not work, take heart. You have just taken a step forward in the process of eliminating what does not work, which gets you closer to finding what does work.

 

However, as I have previously said most people already know what they need to do in order to get the outcome they are seeking. We live in the Information Technology Age. Information on every subject is available to us at our fingertips if we just care to look. The steps to make money online are already laid out for you. There is nothing to invent. There are no auditions to attend. You have the solution in your home. It has a monitor, a keyboard, perhaps some speakers, and maybe a webcam.

 

Start out like this. Just choose a few small actions that you can take easily and build on them. After a short while, you will begin to see at least a preface of the results of which you have been dreaming. Be proud, because you are creating in your life. Make it a personal development quest to improve yourself or your life a little each day. Trust me, if you take small steps you will make big leaps in your life.
