To make money online, we must first identify your niche market. To find your niche market method, we must break out a keyword tool. We need to see volume of searches. We will also need to sort the keywords for the amount of money already being spent by advertisers for keywords. We must do this even if we have found a great product or service or created one to see if the market online is a viable one.

 

Using a top notch keyword tool is a must to see the bids on those keywords in the niche. Low amounts of bids for the most expensive of the bunch of keywords is usually a bad sign but not always. Go through the long-tails and check the volume on these.  Check competition, if there are few ads and low bidding in most situations this is a bad sign but the market may just not have enough attractive products or services available.

 

You may have discovered a field where the products and services offered are weak, or the websites look cheap, and people don't trust them. If there is no competition at all it may be an untapped market but it is unlikely as companies run through niches and test them. You could run with these two situations if all your eggs are not in this basket and you are just testing. Bigger companies with better websites probably have tried the niche but not always.

 

Some niches there just is no money there for reasons that can range from the audience does not want to spend because the nature of the market which has free access to plenty of free or very cheap stuff already, the mindset is already cheap or free, so that audience justs does not want to spend online much or at all, or they do not have it to spend. They may not have an account such as a credit card or the willingness to pay online.

 

 

It is from an investment standpoint safer to find a money well that the competition is already getting at instead of trying to drill a new one. Competition is a good sign in a niche as they already have done a lot of work already and they know there is a market there. We can use other tools besides the keyword tool to find if there is money being spent in that field but this is too much of an extended subject for this article.

 

 

We than can see buyers and sellers in the market for this niche. We than can improve on the competition with our websites and offers. We can also offer giveaways to bring in the new customers.

 

We can tailor make better products and services to better conform to the needs of our audience after running our demographics. We can run surveys in the field to see what they are really after and what is lacking in the current products or services without naming names of companies. Let them state the products/services they are using and how it could be better. You could hire a company to run the surveys for you.

 

When our product or service has been honed by our survey knowledge we then can run ad tests. We run our ads testing different ways of wording and formats. We work on colors and styles. We change content and alter offers for better response.

 

We now can ask the buyers what they think of the product or service and ask if there is room for improvement. We want to know about price and if quality was up to their standards.

 

After we had listened to our customers now it is time to make adjustments to what we have to make all the improvements needed. We want customer service the best we can make it as we want return customers. We then can add more resources to marketing now and/or build web content.

 

In internet business, sometimes you are suspect and considered untrustworthy and until you prove yourself and your business proves itself as anyone can hide behind a website. This often hinders our ability to make money online. Since customer service is many times unseen or even unheard (only email or live chat sometimes) in this business, you must build trust and respectability between you and your clients/customers.
