Well the latest but not necessarily the greatest wave maker in the MLM industry is a company called MPB Today (MPBtoday.com), who is trying to convince Network Marketing hopefuls that groceries are the greatest product ever conceived of for the Network Marketing industry.

Here are the essentials on the MPB Today business.

MPB Today is short for 'My Premier Business Today' and they have a head office in Pensacola Florida. They may or may not be the identical company as their affiliate grocery delivery company 'Southeastern Delivery. According to their site they are affiliates but they do share the same physical address.

The sales material on the MPB Today website suggests the grocery delivery industry is currently around 1 billion dollars a year and they make a courageous estimate that the industry will grow by 800 percent in the next 5 to 10 years.

Not quite sure about those numbers MPB Today quotes, but I guess that's not really the point.

The real issue is can the grocery delivery business which seems to be pretty much a local industry being developed into a national industry.

Do you think many people will really be interested in having their fresh dairy and produce shipped by MPB Today from their offices in Florida to say California?

Perhaps not.

This means that most users of this system will need to limit their grocery order to non-perishable items and since MPB Today charges for delivery based upon weight it is going to get very costly to ship.

So do you see the benefits here?

The addition of a MLM marketing plan to any business will create a lot of short term interest and I think that is what is happening with MPB Today.

Plugging in the matrix comp plan was probably a necessity for MPB Today since you really had to make it lucrative enough to get people to adopt a product such as this and get excited about it.

Matrix compensation plans in the MLM world have also been around for quite a while but came back into vogue a few years ago when a fast moving travel MLM called TVI Express roared through the US market and some distributors make huge amounts of money.

The appeal of a matrix pay plan, similar to the one MPB Today is using, is the opportunity to generate huge revenues rapidly.

Moreover you need to be conscious of a few concerns with this form of compensation plan.

The chief concern is the free ride notion that a matrix pay plan encourages.

It goes something like this, "Just get your two reps to qualify and you are done". Then sit back and watch the money or in this case the MPB Today grocery coupons roll in and you have free groceries for life.

Well I wish it were that easy, heck I would join.

The truth is that the standard MLM business model (as opposed to Top Tier MLM) only works if you have duplication and the MPB Today compensation plan is no different.

So if the two that you bring in to MPB Today don't get their two and so on, you are going nowhere.

If you want to make money in MPB Today you will need to make sure you do not get left with a stalled down line. The only way to ensure this growth is to become a great recruiter because you need to assume you will need to bring everyone into the plan all by yourself.

Here are a few optimistic notes about MPB today.

When you are able to get some business volume developed, a matrix compensation plan can product a large amount of revenue in a very short period.

To keep the excitement level very high in your MPB Today down line you will need to bring in several new prospects into the business each month. This will greatly improve your odds of success.

To insure your success in MPB Today, you better be prepared to bring 6 to 10 new reps into the business at a minimum each month.
